CFO leaves Lamprell

The group chief finance officer of United Arab Emirates-based rig builder Lamprell is to leave the business.

Frank Nelson, who joined Lamprell last year, is to return to the UK for personal reasons, said Lamprell, which is due to announce its half year results tomorrow (August 29).

He is to be replaced by Joanne Curin, from October 1. Ms Curin has held senior management and board positions for a number of large multinational companies including Lend Lease Corporation and P&O (POSNCo), in roles covering strategy, finance, tax, corporate governance and information technology.

She is currently non-executive director for WS Atkins and Deep Ocean Group Holdings.

John Kennedy, chairman of Lamprell, said Mr Nelson had joined Lamprell on an interim basis, last October, to allow the board sufficient time to identify a replacement.

Ms Curin has a bachelor of commerce from Auckland University and is a member of member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
