Halliburton announced the official opening of its Multi-Chem business line’s Acadiana Blend Plant in Maurice, Louisiana. The new facility will help meet growing business demands in the Gulf of Mexico market and provide expanded local service capabilities.

“An integral part of the way we do business includes growing along with our customers,” said James Archer, vice president of the Multi-Chem business line. “Our new Acadiana Blend Plant gives us more room to leverage our unparalleled technical expertise, while continuing to meet and exceed burgeoning customer needs in specialty chemicals for unconventional resources, mature fields, pipeline, and deep water.”

The new facility is located on 64 acres, about half of which is green space, and includes offices, a blend plant, and a state-of-the-art field laboratory.

Multi-Chem is part of Halliburton’s Completion and Production Division. It is the fourth-largest provider of production chemicals in North America, delivering specialty chemicals, services and solutions that help oil and gas companies develop their resources.
