SapuraKencana's AME to inspect Carigali Hess facilities

Carigali Hess Operating Company Sdn. Bhd. awarded Allied Marine & Equipment Sdn. Bhd. (AME) a contract to provide subsea inspection to Carigali Hess’ facilities.

AME is a subsidiary of Malaysia’s SapuraKencana Petroleum Berhad.

Within the terms of the contract, AME will inspect Carigali Hess’ jackets, pipelines and FSO. It will also provide diving equipment, an ROV, a support vessel, personnel, along with the equipment, tools and spares required to perform the services and other work.

The value of the contract is approximately RM62 million (US$19.7 million) over a 4-year period on a call-out basis.

Carigali Hess partners with Petronas Carigali in Block A-18 of the Malaysia/Thailand Joint Development Area (JDA), located in the Gulf of Thailand. Carigali Hess (50%) is the operator. PetronasCarigali owns a 50% working interest. Gas production began in 2005.
