Paradigm launches Sysdrill on Amazon cloud

Published

Paradigm announced the launch of Sysdrill, its wellplanning and drilling engineering solution on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud.  Sysdrill enhances well planning accuracy and reduces drilling risk and uncertainty. Its deployment on the AWS cloud ensures that Sysdrill users will benefit from rapid provisioning, simplified management and lower costs. Paradigm will demonstrate the Sysdrill deployment on the cloud at booth #817 at IADC/SPE in Fort Worth, TX, to be held on March 4 – 6, 2014.

With AWS, users can reduce overall IT costs, stay focused on applications for vital projects, and meet demands for scalability. Paradigm will provide multiple levels of support for Sysdrill on the AWS cloud, enabling customers to select their required level of management control.

·       AWS Ready. Sysdrill has been fully tested and validated for use on AWS.  Paradigm provides reference architectures and sizing guidelines to ensure customers can successfully deploy Sysdrill within their own AWS environments.

·   AWS Deployed Instance. For customers with outsourced or managed IT policy, Paradigm provides the Deployed Instance option.  Under this option, Paradigm installs and fully configures Sysdrill for immediate use by customers.

“The rise of cloud computing is one of the most important macro-trends in IT infrastructure,” said Arshad Matin, president and CEO of Paradigm. “However, E&P software vendors have yet to make its well-recognized benefits available to their customers.  Simply put, customers should be able to focus more on the application than on the infrastructure. Paradigm takes an important step in enabling customers to do just that.”
