COSL increases PSV fleet

China Oilfield Services Limited's newly purchased platform supply vessel HYSY613 has been delivered for operation and is expected to start work in the South China Sea mid-April.

Another platform supply vessel of the same model that was purchased together with HYSY613 is expected to be delivered to the group by the end of April.

Equipped with a main-turbine power output of 6000hp and DP2 dynamic positioning capability, HYSY613 is 75m-long and 3300-tonne gross.

The unit is the same model as two other platform supply vessels (HYSY611, HYSY612) purchased by COSL in 2013.

Apart from being able to carry bulk materials and drilling fluids, HYSY613 is also equipped with a 150cu m tank to supply Methanol/ethylene glycol to the platform it serves.
