Dual fuel engines

Published

Teekay LNG Partners ordered two twin MAN Diesel & Turbo B&W ME-GI dual-fuel, two-stroke, gas injection engines for two of its LNG carriers currently under construction at DSME’s South Korean yard. The newbuilds will be equipped with M-type, ME-GI twin engines, which cut CO2, NOx and SOx emissions. The engines are based on an ultra-long-stroke G-type concept, which enables higher propulsion plant efficiency.

Teekay’s LNG carriers are scheduled for delivery 1H 2016.
