Thailand’s Mermaid Maritime Public Co. has been awarded two saturation diving services contracts valued at US$40 to $45 million in the Middle East

Mermaid is using the DP3 multipurpose vessel Bourbon Evolution and will additionally deploy specialized diving equipment, remotely operated vehicles, specialized divers and other project crew to provide services for the contracts.

Mermaid has an eight-month contract for the Bourbon Evolution with the option to extend an additional eight months.

The contracts are for approximately six to eight months total for an unnamed client.

The first contract already began and the second will begin after the completion of the first.

In August, the international subsea and drilling services company announced a reorganization of its subsea business. It was decided that the subsea organization be geographically separated into two markets of the western and eastern hemispheres.
