Polarcus appoints CEO

Rod Starr joins Polarcus as its next chief executive officer (CEO) effective 5 February.

Starr has more than 30 years industry experience, starting his career with Unocal where he spent 16 years in various planning and financial roles before moving into the oil services sector where he has held senior sales, business development, marketing and managerial positions.

Prior to joining Polarcus, Starr worked for TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Co. where he held several senior management positions worldwide, most recently as senior vice president, western hemisphere. Starr holds a degree in business/finance from San Diego State.
