AFGlobal names new president/CEO

AFGlobal Corp. appointed Curtis Samford as the company’s new president and chief executive officer.

Samford joined the company in 2012 as president - oil and gas and was later promoted to chief operating officer in July 2013. Samford began his career in the oil and gas industry more than 30 years ago as a field engineer for Dresser Atlas. Over the course of his career, he has held escalating positions of responsibility for Shell Oil Co., Alcoa, and Precision Castparts.

Samford succeeds Gean Stalcup who has served in this capacity for the past five years. Stalcup has been named chairman of the board for AFGlobal.
