Building on this strong foundation, we have amplified our investment strategy to include the opening of a new, world-class Cameron Services facility located in the Gateway Business Park in Aberdeen, UK. From this facility, we will be able to deliver enhanced service capabilities throughout the life of the field while strengthening our relationship with our customers in the North Sea. We also can support critical operator goals, such as maximizing recovery from brownfield developments and extending the operating envelope of aging infrastructure, Cameron said.

Accompanied by Cameron’s regional vice president, global vice-president for services, regional manager and business development director, Deirdre toured the new facility, which is four times the size of the last facility, increasing Cameron’s capacity for repairs and rental services, customer storage and inventory management services.

The new Aberdeen facility features: larger workshop area to increase available capacity for repair and rental services; enhanced in-house capability for pressure testing of higher pressures for HPHT systems and capability to test risers in-house; greater capacity for customer storage and inventory management services; and an expanded training workshop and classroom training to continue to develop field service technicians' understanding of the equipment and further prepare them for the field.  Customer training courses are also available.

“These facilities are testament to the adaptability and innovation of Cameron that is very much part of their history and their DNA. This industry is going through really challenging times with businesses having to make some tough decisions.  However companies like Cameron are also recognizing that they need to invest to stay ahead- they know that this industry will come through this – and that it must be one that is competitive and fit for purpose if it is to be sustainable.
By listening to their customers and working with them to provide for their changing needs, Cameron is putting itself in a more positive position for the future,”
 Michie said.
