Newpark Drilling Fluids gets new VP

Newpark Drilling Fluids announced the appointment of Tim Armand as vice president of US Offshore Operations.

Armand began his career in the energy industry with Tetra nearly 30 years ago. He has since gained invaluable experience serving in various positions at M-­‐I SWACO/Schlumberger over the last 28 years, predominantly in offshore operations. In his most recent role as global account manager at M-­‐I SWACO, Armand managed more than 50 team members specializing in advanced technical solutions for the deepwater arena.

“[Armand's] extraordinary record of success in the Gulf of Mexico brings vital expertise to our deepwater operations,” said Phil Vollands, president of Newpark Drilling Fluids North America. “We are excited he’s joined our team. His proven proficiency in the market strengthens our deepwater capabilities, which ultimately boosts well performance and efficiency for our offshore clients.”

Armand is a Louisiana native and graduate of Nichols State University. He is a member of several professional organizations, including SPE, PEC and Pi Kappa Alpha.
