EIC appoints Stuart Broadley as new CEO

The Energy Industries Council (EIC), the leading trade association for UK companies that supply goods and services to the energy industries worldwide, appointed Stuart Broadley as its new CEO.

Broadley brings over 20 years of global energy services experience to his new role, joining the EIC most recently from Hoerbiger. Based in Vienna for the past three years, Broadley was global head of service for their compression technology division.

Prior to his position at Hoerbiger, Broadley spent four years in the renewables sector in Hamburg, as president of global service for onshore and offshore wind turbine manufacturer REpower Systems (now Senvion). Broadley also spent 13 years at multinational energy services company Wood Group in Aberdeen and Canada, and was responsible for a number of their gas turbine service businesses.

“I’m extremely excited to be taking over the reins from Claire Miller, who has done a great deal to develop the EIC during her time as CEO,” Broadley said. “The organization has both a clear strategy and a strong senior management team in place, so I look forward to building on this success.”

Broadley’s first event as CEO was EIC Connect Middle East, the EIC’s supply chain exhibition and conference, which took place in Abu Dhabi on 17 May 2016.
