Palfinger bags Sleipnir work

Palfinger Marine Winches and Offshore Equipment has been awarded a contract by Sembcorp Marine to supply of the bulk loading stations for Heerema Offshore Services’ semisubmersible crane vessel Sleipnir.

The delivery consists of two complete bulk loading stations, one on starboard and one on port side of the vessel. Each bulk loading station consists of four bulk loading reels in various sizes including loading hoses, HPU and control system. 

The equipment is scheduled for delivery in Q1 2017. 

The vessel is designed to install and remove offshore facilities worldwide and will be equipped with two heavy-lifting offshore cranes of 10,000 MT lifting capacity each and a large reinforced work deck area. With a vessel length of 214m and a width of 97.5m, this will be the largest semisubmersible crane vessel in the world.
