Statoil to use Floatel Endurance at Gina Krog

The Petroleum Safety Authority of Norway has granted Statoil consent to use the Floatel Endurance mobile accommodation facility at Gina Krog in the North Sea.

Floatel Endurance is a semisubmersible facility, which is to operate for Statoil at Gina Krog in its first commission on the Norwegian shelf. The facility received acknowledgement of compliance (AoC) on 23 August 2016.

Gina Krog is an oil and gas discovery located 250km west of Stavanger and 30km north-west of the Sleipner A facility in the North Sea. The field was proven in 1974. Water depth at the site is 110-120m. The development solution is a new steel platform and an oil storage vessel with a capacity of 850,000 bbl.
