The Energy Industries Council (EIC) has officially opened its new Houston office on 13 September.

The EIC’s new office remains in its current building on Westheimer, but has moved up one floor to Suite 925, to a new state-of-the-art facility which includes serviced offices, a large conference room and hot-desks available for use by EIC member companies.
"The EIC has been present in Houston for over 20 years, and as the energy capital of the world it forms a very important part of our worldwide network of offices. Located in Houston’s energy corridor, we are at the heart of what is a global energy hub, which is great for our members,” Clarisse Rocha, EIC head of Americas. “Moving up one floor to our new office means we can offer them better facilities than ever before to help them expand into the lucrative North and Central America region; Houston being the gateway to the Americas market.”
Presiding over the opening ceremony was EIC CEO, Stuart Broadley. He was joined by Karen Bell, British Consul General in Houston, whose speech focused on how the British Consulate and the EIC work closely together to support UK investment in the Houston area. Also addressing the reception were Houston City Council member Mike Laster and Betty Russo, part of the Governor of the State of Texas, Greg Abbott’s Community Relations team.
Headquartered in London, UK, The EIC has a network of offices in key energy markets around the world including Houston, Rio de Janeiro, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur and Aberdeen, which allows its members low risk and low cost entry into new markets with EIC staff on hand to provide practical support, expert regional insights and introductions to local operators and contractors.
