Prosafe ordered to review systems

Published

Accommodation provider Prosafe has been hit with an order from the Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) after failing to remedy non-compliances found during an inspection.

The PSA carried out an inspection on the Safe Scandinavia in September this year, to verify how Prosafe had handled non-conformities identified during an audit carried out the year before.

Some of the non-conformities, including some relating to maintenance management, had not been followed up, says the PSA, describing this transgression as a "serious breach of the regulatory requirements for follow-up and non-conformity handling."

Prosafe has now been ordered to review its system for following up identified non-conformities, the causes mapped and corrective measures implemented in order to prevent recurrence of the non-conformities.

Prosafe has until 15 January 2017 to comply with the order.
