Commercial vessels, whether used for offshore energy projects or traditional maritime transport, vary widely in size, shape and performance. While there are many differences, there are many similarities, too. Namely, they are generally ‘expensive’ capital pieces of equipment, and the biggest single cost centers on selecting, installing and maintaining the drivetrain. In this interview, Regal Rexnord’s Bob Lennon provides insights on life-cycle maintenance considerations to ensure reliable performance and long life of a commercial vessels’ drivetrain.
