Shearwater GeoServices said it has been awarded a seismic acquisition and depth processing contract by Türkiye Petrolleri Anonim Ortaklığı (TPAO) – its second project to be executed for TPAO in 2019.

The four-month project will start in third quarter of 2019 and will be conducted by the Polar Empress immediately after its completion of a full North Sea summer season, Shearwater said.

The survey will cover an area of 6,200 square kilometers and includes fast-track processing, followed by full time and depth processing.

“We look forward to returning to the Turkish Black Sea for this 14-streamer survey following strong execution and high productivity on the previous survey and processing contract for TPAO,” said Irene Waage Basili, the CEO of Shearwater GeoServices.
