Shelf Bags Middle East Work for Jack-up

Oslo-listed Shelf Drilling,  world's largest contractor of jack-up rigs, has secured a three-year contract offshore the Arabian Peninsula.

The company’s recently acquired premium newbuild jackup drilling rig Shelf Drilling Achiever will likely start the program in 4Q 2019. The rig would operate in the Arabian Gulf for an undisclosed client.

The contract includes a one-year option. The planned start-up of operations is in the fourth quarter of 2019, it said.

Shelf Drilling is a water offshore drilling contractor with rig operations across Middle East, Southeast Asia, India, West Africa and the Mediterranean.  Shelf Drilling owns a fleet of 39 jackup drilling rigs.

Shelf Drilling was founded in 2012 and has established itself as a leader within its industry through its fit-for-purpose strategy and close working relationship with industry leading clients.
