Solstad PSV Wins Shell Contract

Norwegian offshore service and supply ship Shipping company Solstad Offshore has signed a contract with Brasil Petroleo Ltda (Shell)  for the platform supply vessel (PSV) Normand Starling.

The Skudeneshavn-headquartered company said in a press release that the contract will commence in 2Q 2019 and have a firm duration of 2 years.

Normand Starling (2013, STX PSV 08 CD, 4000 DWT) will support Shell’s activities in Brazilian waters, it said.

In addition, Solstad has been awarded contracts with an undisclosed client for two of the company’s PSVs with commencement early 2Q 2019. Solstad did not say which vessels would be used for this contract.

The contract duration for each vessel is 185 days firm plus options.

Last week Solstad was awarded a contract by Ophir Thailand (Bualuang) Limited.
