Höegh LNG has signed a contract with an Asia based national oil company to conduct pre-front-end engineering design (FEED) engineering work for an offshore floating LNG facility (FLNG) with a two million-tonne per annum production capacity.

The work will be finalised in the first quarter of 2014. Provided that the conclusion of the engineering work is positive, the intention of the client is to execute a full FEED in the first half of 2014.

In July, Höegh FLNG, a fully owned subsidiary of Höegh LNG, was awarded a pre-FEED study for a jetty-moored 2 mtpa FLNG near shore barge FLNG solution for a North American LNG export project. The study will be executed in 2H 2013 with a potential for conducting a full FEED in 2014.
