Subsea 7 crew performs "Africa"

Monday, October 21, 2013

It's not all about work when you're out at sea. Subsea 7's crew onboard the Bourbon Peridot multipurpose supply vessel collaborated for this fun rendition of the song "Africa" by Toto while in Equatorial Guinea off West Africa. The video clip, which has racked up nearly 300,000 views, was directed by Darren Flynn, of Aberdeen, an ROV pilot for Subsea 7. A company spokesman told Aberdeen's Evening Express that the video is a great example of camaraderie and team spirit. “The nature of our business means offshore people spend several weeks on board a vessel, living and working together with colleagues 24 hours a day... Our company values include collaboration and innovation and the team behind this have demonstrated both – it’s what we call Being 7."
