Blue Water is to provide logistics services on a global scale to Semco Maritime over the next two years, building on years of cooperation by the two Danish companies on several rig and infrastructure projects.

“Blue Water’s global experience of working in the Energy and Offshore business, their understanding of supporting a project based environment, like Semco Maritime’s, and their flexible approach to meeting the diverse needs of Semco Maritime and our customers’ projects, means that we are confident that we have the basis for a successful working relationship in the coming years”, says Roderick McNeil, Corporate Procurement Manager of Semco Maritime.

Blue Water believes that the network of 68 own offices and more than 40 years of experience within the Oil and Energy industry is essential for the cooperation.

"For many years, we have transported almost all types of cargo from small packages to entire oil rigs to every corner of the world. We have established a large international network of own offices and both companies are represented at many of the same oil and gas key locations worldwide. This gives Semco Maritime the opportunity of being close to our regional experts who have great knowledge of the local conditions”, says Thomas Bek, Global Head of Oil, Energy and Industrial Projects at Blue Water.

Another key factor is Blue Water’s capability of providing flexible IT solutions, which can be integrated with the client’s technology. With its own IT department, consisting of more than 44 people, Blue Water is capable of creating tailor-made IT solutions to meet the individual client’s requirements.

Semco Maritime operates within five business areas: oil and gas, windpower, rig projects, power projects and products and technology. The company has offices in Denmark, Norway, UK, UAE, Singapore, Vietnam, China, Australia, Central America as well as USA and employs more than 2000 people.
