Vallourec appoints North America lead

Vallourec appointed Nicolas de Coignac as senior vice president Vallourec Group, President North America effective 1 April 2015.

In his new role de Coignac will lead all Vallourec businesses in North America, and drilling operations worldwide. He reports directly to Philippe Crouzet, chairman of the group.

The froup is now structured in four world regional hubs, regrouping existing businesses: OCTG, drilling, power generation, pipe project, upstream, industry.

Coignac is a member of Vallourec Group Management Committee. He joined the Vallourec Group in 1992 as hot rolling mill manager for the Valti division. He was subsequently corporate controller at the group headquarters, sourcing director then general manager of Vallourec Argentina, managing director of OCTG Europe and managing director of drilling products division. His previous position before this new nomination was senior vice president - power and pipe project sector in Boulogne-Billancourt (France).

de Coignac is a graduate of the Ecole Centrale Paris with a master of engineering, and attended an executive program at INSEAD.
