TGS has taken on a new CFO, accommodation vessel operator Prosafe's CFO Sven Børre Larsen.

Larsen's start date has yet to be determined, says TGS, but it will be no later than 1 December 2015.

Larsen has been CFO at Prosafe since 2011. He also has experience as a financial analyst in a range of industries including the oil services sector.

A native of Norway, Larsen earned his undergraduate and master's degrees at the University of Tromsø and the Bodø Graduate School of Business.

Larsen replaces Kristian Johansen as CFO. Johansen's promotion to COO of TGS was announced in December 2014. Johansen will continue to also serve as interim CFO until Larsen's employment.

Robert Hobbs, CEO at TGS, says: "I am pleased to have Sven join our executive team. He brings a wealth of knowledge as a proven CFO of a successful oil and gas services organization and I look forward to his contribution to TGS' continued success."
