Statoil to drill Norwegian wildcat

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has granted Statoil a drilling permit for wells 30/11-12 S and 30/11-12 A in production license 035 (PL 035), part of block 30/11 in the Norwegian North Sea.

Well 30/11-12 S is wildcat well that will be drilled from the Songa Delta drilling facility at position 60°05’00.12’’ north 02°35’36,32’’ east. It will be the 11th exploration well to be drilled in the license area.

In the event of a discovery, well 30/11-12 A will be drilled as an appraisal well.

Statoil (50%) is the drilling operator with partner Det norske oljeselskap (50%).
