COSL completes Barents Sea 3D campaign

China Oilfield Services' 12-streamer HYSY 720 seismic vessel has completed the operations of two 3D seismic data acquisition in the Arctic Barents Sea recently. 

The campaign covered three blocks and follows a previous campaign covering 1820.58sq km over two blocks, also in the Barents Sea.

The clients for both campaigns were not disclosed.

Norway recently released areas of the Barents Sea for exploration for the first in its latest licensing round, showing increased interest in the icy waters of the far north.
