Polarcus has secured another extension for its 3D marine seismic project in South America.

The original award, announced on 15 December 2015, was awarded by an undisclosed client for a 3D marine seismic project in South America utilizing Polarcus' RightBAND technique for broadband data acquisition.

This first phase of the project was completed in August 2016 and was followed by Polarcus’ 8 February 2017 announcement that the company had secured an extension for the project. The extension, scheduled to commence in March 2017, also included an option for the client to further expand the survey area.

The client has since chosen to exercise that expansion option, which will extend the project by an additional month. Following this announcement, the total duration of the campaign extension will be four months, to be acquired in Q2-Q3 2017.
