Tenaris and Simas have signed a strategic agreement to supply state-of-the-art hot induction bends to the offshore industry. Through alliances with key vendors – such as the recent agreement signed with CRC Evans – Tenaris is looking to offer a one-stop-shop solution, vertically integrating the commercial, technical and execution phases of a complete offshore line pipe package. Italian firm Simas has been performing hot induction bending since 1974 and has recently upgraded its bending and heat treatment facilities to meet challenging deepwater project demands.
