Østensjø Rederi, DeepOcean Pact for 'Edda Fauna'

Norwegian offshore vessel supplier  Østensjø Rederi and Netherlands - based  subsea services firm DeepOcean have signed a new contract for Edda Fauna.

The new contract will commence 1st March 2019 and will secure firm utilisation until end of 2020.  The shipowner did not disclose the financial details of the contract.

“We are pleased with being a preferred supplier for DeepOcean and securing long-term work for the Edda Fauna in a challenging market”, says Chartering Manager Kristian Vea.

The  108.7 meters long Edda Fauna, built by Aker Yards Brattvåg, came into operation in 2008 as the flagship in the DeepOcean IMR fleet.

DeepOcean provides subsea services related to offshore construction such as trenching and laying of flexible products, inspection, maintenance & repair and decommissioning. It operates a fleet of 14 vessels and 48 ROVs and 16 trenching assets execute projects in the Oil & Gas and Renewables markets.

Østensjø Rederi AS provides marine services in the offshore and towage sectors in Norway and internationally.
