As an industry we have a fundamental responsibility to manage our business in a safe and environmentally conscious manner. I would challenge the Department of the Interior to look at processes that drive efficiencies while satisfying the need to ensure that proper engineering design, compliance, and due diligence is being conducted. Their focus needs to go beyond permitting and cover efficiencies across the entire well delivery process.
