Sonar Equipment delivers multi-sensor ROV

Great Yarmouth-based Sonar Equipment Services (SES) delivered its first multi-sensor ROV survey package to Calecore’s marine survey division, Calesurvey.

SES has integrated, tested and mobilized a complex array of survey and subsea equipment complete with offshore support personnel for the survey in Norwegian waters. The pipeline route survey with environmental and geotechnical studies is being carried out using a work class ROV fitted with an extensive range of geophysical and bathymetry survey sensors and equipment supplied by Sonar Equipment Services.

As part of the scope of work, an Innova Matrix MKII fiber optic multiplexer provides stand-alone transport of all survey data over a single fiber. The Matrix MKII is a compact, plug and play interface for all subsea sensors and equipment that can be fitted to any hosted platform.

Neil Jackson, SES’ sales and operations manager, said: “This scope of work demonstrates our ability to deliver innovative technical solutions when off the shelf answers are simply not enough to meet the challenges and demands faced by our customers.

“The successful completion of this project underlines our ability to identify and source the right technology from our diverse array of survey and subsea equipment and then integrate together a highly effective, functional and fully tested package which meets the customer’s requirements.”

SES specializes in geophysical, oceanographic, ROV, and hydrographic marine survey equipment.
