Aqualis opens Bahrain office

Norway-based offshore marine and engineering consultancy Aqualis Offshore has opened a new office in Bahrain.

Aqualis already has offices in Dubai, UAE (regional headquarters), and Dammam, Saudi Arabia, in the Middle East.

“The primary function for the Bahrain office will be to provide support for the shipyards and vessel operators in the country," says Reuben Segal, director – Middle East, Aqualis Offshore.

"The ASRY shipyard, which conducts a lot of maintenance and upgrades of offshore units, is of particular interest as our competence profile is a good match with the type of services it requires.”

Aqualis Offshore is a marine and offshore engineering consultancy, focusing on the shallow and deep water offshore segments of the oil and gas industry.

Its services include concept, FEED and basic design engineering for upgrades and conversions of jack-ups, rigs and other fixed offshore installations, rig moving, marine warranty, dynamic positioning and construction supervision services.

The company also offers transportation and installation as well as due diligence services.

“Personnel from the Bahrain office will also be able to provide operational support to rig moving projects offshore both Kingdom of Saudia Arabia and Qatar. It is a strategically important office location,” says Segal.

Aqualis Offshore, which started operations last year, has also set up offices in London, UK (HQ); Sandefjord and Oslo, Norway; Houston, USA; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; and Singapore.

The company is part of Oslo stock exchange listed Aqualis ASA.
