SBM Offshore launches two companies

Published

SBM Offshore is launching two companies, Imodco Terminals S.A. and Imodco Services S.A., to meet challenges of the CALM Terminals and after sales services.

Building upon SBM’s terminals technology, the two new companies will operate independently from the rest of SBM Offshore, while functioning as 100% affiliates within the group.

As a result clients will benefit from a more proactive partner in this area and in its role, as shareholder the SBM group will strengthen its leadership on its historical business of CALM buoys and relevant after sales services. This step will facilitate the two Imodco companies in their objective to become the recognized leaders on the relevant technical and commercial innovations by providing bespoke solutions over the full lifecycle for CALM terminals.

“By creating the two Imodco entities the group ensures that our clients will benefit from a highly experienced and dedicated team as well as a wealth of terminal technology,” says Bruno Chabas, SMB Offshore CEO. “This new approach to doing business adds value to what clients have previously enjoyed by ensuring that Imodco is highly responsive to clients’ needs as well as providing support for their operability – the key to future success.”
