Westcon wins Subsea 7 Martin Linge contract

Norwegian yard Westcon has been awarded a contract by Subsea 7 to deliver equipment to be used on the Martin Linge field.

Westcon's contract with Subsea 7 covers three riser bases and associated protection structures, to be used on Total's Martin Linge field, offshore Norway.

The contract with Subsea 7 was awarded after completing a number of similar projects since Westcon started its focus on the subsea production market almost two years ago. Westcon has produced subsea equipment to large field developments all over the world for companies such as OneSubsea, Kongsberg Oil & Gas Technologies, EMAS AMC and Technip.

“This is a challenging market to enter – especially in todays market conditions, but we have succeeded by offering hard work as well as top competence, HMS standards and systems for quality assurance. This has contributed to a returning flow of customers,” Matre says.

The Subsea 7 contract secures work for 40-50 people to March next year.
