Transocean inks Henry Goodrich contract

Published

Transocean announced that the harsh environment semisubmersible Henry Goodrich was awarded a two-year contract with Husky Oil Operations offshore Canada at a dayrate of US$275,000.

The rig will be used for ongoing development drilling at the South White Rose Extension and North Amethyst field, and near-field exploration.

The estimated contract backlog excluding mobilization is $200 million. The rig is expected to commence operations in the Q2 of 2016.

Production from the White Rose field and extensions is tied back to the SeaRose FPSO (floating production, storage and offloading) vessel.

Husky is the operator of the White Rose field and satellite extensions, holding a 72.5% working interest in the main field and a 68.875% interest in the satellite fields, which include North Amethyst, South White Rose and West White Rose.
