Det Norske's Alvheim floating production, storage and offloading vessel has returned to full capacity after an electric fault was fixed.
The fault, which occurred late November, was in the high voltage drive motor for one of the gas export compressors on Alvheim. The motor was replaced.
The Alvheim field is located in the central part of the North Sea, close to the UK sector. The field comprises the Kneler, Boa and Kameleon discoveries. The discoveries at Viper and Kobra is decided developed, and produced at Alvheim from 2016.
The Alvheim field is estimated to contain total recoverable resources of approximately 90 million barrels of oil equivalents, net to Det norske.
Det norske oljeselskap is the operator of the Alvheim FPSO with 65% working interest, alongside partners ConocoPhillips with 20% and Lundin with 15%.
