Noble to take Thunder Hawk operatorship

Published

Noble Energy has been named the successor operator of the Thunder Hawk production facility, according to the company’s Q2 2016 report.

Scant on details, Noble did confirm that the deal is expected to become effective within Q3 2016, subject to regulatory approval.

Both of Noble’s Big Bend and Dantzler fields in Mississippi Canyon 782 are subsea tiebacks to the SBM Offshore-owned Thunder Hawk production platform in the Gulf of Mexico.

Both projects were brought online ahead of schedule. Big Bend came online late October 2015, with Dantzler following shortly after.
