JDC Bags Indonesian Drilling Contract

Japanese offshore drilling company Japan Drilling Co., Ltd. (JDC) has entered into a drilling contract with Premier Oil for the provision of the Hakuryu-11 jack-up drilling rig.

JDC announced in a press release that that its subsidiary company "P.T. Japan Drilling Indonesia" together with a shipping company in Indonesia has entered into a drilling contract with Premier Oil Natuna Sea B.V. for the provision of the jack-up drilling rig.

The Hakuryu-11 was contracted for four firm wells. It will work approximately 173 days offshore Natuna, Indonesia. The JDC also said that the contract was estimated to begin around March or April 2019.

Hakuryu-11 is a KFELS Super B Class, 3-leg self-elevating cantilever type drilling rig built on May 2013 by Keppel FELS Limited, Singapore.
