Island Offshore has secured contracts with Norske Shell worth US12 million (100 million NOK) for two of its vessels, the Island Valiant and Island Constructor at the Draugen oil field, offshore Norway.

The Island Valiant will begin its contract with IMR-work (inspection, maintenance and repair) on three wells in April, preparing the wells for the work, which the Island Constructor will perform later in the summer.
The Island Constructor has been assigned three jobs with different duration, starting in the early summer that includes light well intervention (LWI) and scale squeeze on two wells at Draugen.
In August/September the vessel will return for two more jobs involving LWI and IMR work.
In addition to the Island Constructor, Island Offshore’s other two LWI vessels, the Island Wellserver and the Island Frontier, are now back in operation and started contracts for Statoil on 1 April. This contract secures Island Wellserver and Island Frontier 200 days each yearly until 2020.
