Simon Møkster Wins Equinor Contract

Norwegian shipowner Simon Møkster Shipping  announced that it has entered a 6 month contract plus options for Equinor regarding the Stril Pioner.

The contract will start in the direct continuation of present contract which will expire in mid September, said the supplier of offshore support vessels with specifications for operations in harsh weather conditions.

Stril Pioner is a large LNG powered platform supply vessel (PSV) which previously has had nearly 14 years of service for Equinor.

Stril Pioner is a Offshore supply vessel  of a VS-4403(LNG) design, built in 2003 by Kleven Verft - Ulsteinvik, Norway.

Stril Pioner is currently sailing under the flag of Norway. Formerly it was known as Viking Energy. It's gross tonnage is 5073 tons. It is 95 meters long and 20,4m wide with deadweight (DWT) of more than 6000t.
