Equinor Awards PSV Contract to Eidesvik

Norwegian multinational energy company Equinor ASA has awarded compatriot offshore owner Eidesvik Offshore ASA a contract for Viking Queen.

The firm contract period is 6 months, commencing in direct continuation of the current contract expiring ultimo August 2019, said a stock exchange announcement from the specialist in the offshore logistics, seismic and underwater operations.

Eidesvik Offshore's platform supply vessel (PSV) Viking Queen was built in 2008.  It is powered by liquefied natural gas.

The PSV was awarded a four month contract by Equinor in April.
