Azerbaijan Takes Delivery of Satti

The Satti floating drilling unit owned by Kazmortransflot National Maritime Shipping Company of Kazakhstan has been delivered to Azerbaijan.

Baku hosted an official ceremony of receiving the Kazakhstani self-elevating floating drilling rig, said a press release.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Board of KazMunayGas NC, Alik Aidarbayev, and the President of the Azerbaijani SOCAR State Oil and Gas Company, Rovnag Ibrahim Abdullayev.

The floating drilling unit left for Kurik port of Kazakhstan in accompany of tow vessels of CJSC Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO).

The process was involved by Andoga as a main tow vessel, Aura as the support tow vessel and SOCAR – 1 as the observing vessel.

The unit has been safely delivered to CDC Marine Supply and Logistics Base, owned by Caspian Drilling Company LTD.
