Solstad Sells PSV

Farstad Shipping, a wholly owned subsidiary of Norwegian offshore supply vessel owner Solstad Offshore, has sold one of its platform supply vessels (PSV).

According to a press release from the Norwegian offshore service and supply ship shipping company, the vessel in question was the Lady Melinda PSV, which was delivered to its new owner on May 23, 2019.

The sale of the vessels will result in an immaterial accounting effect for 2Q 2019, it said.

Lady Melinda was built and delivered in 2003 by Vard Brevik in Norway. According to data from VesselsValue, the Lady Melinda has been in lay-up since January 2016.

Solstad Offshore  also informed that Wintershall Dea has awarded a 10-well firm contract to support the semisubmersible West Mira’s development drilling campaign at the Nova field offshore Norway.
