Archer Wins Contract from Chevron

Archer announced Tuesday it has been awarded a contract to provide platform drilling services for Chevron in the UK sector of the North Sea.

Under the deal, Archer it will provide offshore operations and maintenance supervision on the Alba Northern and Captain platforms. Archer said it will also continue to provide onshore rig operations, maintenance and QHSE management.

The new contract, which is for five years firm, with two one-year options, is scheduled to commence May 1, 2019 and ensures continuity of platform drilling operations and maintenance management services on the Alba Northern and Captain platforms until at least 2024.

Kenny Dey, Vice President Platform Drilling and Managing Director Archer (UK) Limited, said the company has provided platform drilling operations and maintenance management services for Chevron in the UK since 2004.
