Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) has received a Letter of Award (LOA) from Hess Exploration and Production Malaysia for engineering, procurement, construction, transportation, installation, hook-up, and commissioning (EPCIC) services for the Bergading complex, offshore Malaysia.

The Bergading complex comprises a central processing platform (CPP), a bridge, and a wellhead platform. It is part of a full field development project, in 60m water depth, in North Malay basin, which Hess operates under a production sharing contract with PETRONAS.

The CPP will be constructed at HHI’s offshore yard in Ulsan, South Korea, while the other facilities will be constructed by its appointed fabrication sub-contractor in Malaysia. The offshore installation of the Bergading facilities is scheduled to take place by the end of 2016.
