UK-based energy services provider Penspen acquired the engineering division of DPS Group. The acquisition increases Penspen’s headcount by 10%; strengthens its oil and gas process facilities engineering capability; and brings access to the FPSO construction market in Asia Pacific.

DPS Engineering designs oil and gas production facilities for on and offshore projects, supporting operators from the field development stage, through FEED, detailed design, to construction and commissioning supervision.

The purchase includes all DPS engineering staff based in Singapore and Bristol, and will enable client support for the full life-cycle of their oil and gas assets.

Penspen said the acquisition took place during mid-September, the same month the 60-year-old-company rebranded to bring all its existing sub-brands under the Penspen banner.
