I would point to the Secretary of Interior’s need to focus on the Arctic. It isn’t the highest near term potential energy source, but it has significant long term potential and will have implications for energy production and environmental protection across international borders. It is a key issue now, given the setbacks in Shell’s drilling and the strict licensing regime.
