Derick Bourg takes charge of offshore construction at Chet Morrison

Houma, Louisiana-based Chet Morrison Contractors announced today that Derick Bourg is now the Vice President of the Fabrication and Offshore Construction department. He has headed the Harvey Fabrication Facility for Chet Morrison Contractors for the last 16 years, and is now adding Offshore Construction to his responsibilities. Bourg successfully managed large fabrication projects for customers such as BHP Billiton, Mobil Exploration, Chevron and Shell Offshore. His focus will be on overseeing and expanding construction initiatives in the offshore environment.

Derick BourgBourg’s team will include new hire Eric Verzwyvelt, who joins the Construction team as Offshore Construction Manager. With extensive experience in the upstream and downstream industry, Verzwyvelt will draw on his background in estimation and project management to support Chet Morrison Contractors’ growing number of offshore construction projects.
