Intertek expands internationally

Intertek announces the launch of Intertek Asset Integrity Management (AIM) Surveying Services in Australia and Brazil, to provide clients 3D laser scanning and dimensional control services.

Stuart Gordon is operations manager for Intertek Surveying Services (ISS) in Australia, with a decade of experience in laser scanning and surveying in the region. Based out of the existing Intertek office in Applecross, a suburb of Perth, Australia, Stuart has quickly built a team to provide services for a long-term Australian LNG construction project and other high-profile projects in the region.

Heading up ISS in Brazil will be John Salinas who has worked for Intertek companies for 13 years. With operations based in the main Intertek office in Sao Paulo, John will drive forward the business across South America.

Kyle McNeil, technical operations manager at Intertek, said: “We are very excited about the launch of our Intertek Surveying Services business in these new regions. We foresee growth and increased demand for our specialized services particularly from our clients involved in major LNG construction (modularization projects), onshore and offshore platform, and floaters construction.

“Provision of these services to new regions will significantly add value to our customers and support their projects. Surveying services have become an essential element in managing the entire life cycle of a project from design and construction through to installation, hook-up, commissioning, and additional upgrades and revamp. Customers in Australia and Brazil will now benefit from our in-depth knowledge and experience that will contribute to improving project execution schedules, site safety, increased accuracy, reduced field time, and minimal rework with ISS.”
